Shown below are two examples of PERL applications which work with text in Indian languages. The first program will compute the number of occurrences of vowels, consonants and samyuktakshars in a text file (.llf). The second one is a program to sort words in a file. Being a .llf file which contain strings in Devanagari, the listing is presented as an image to permit direct viewing without the need for special software or fonts.
